The fuselage is flipped over on its back and placed on sawhorses.  This is harder than it sounds.  I was able to do it with just Phil (quality control) and myself.  We found it was easier to roll it onto the end of a spar than to go over backwards "space shuttle" style.  I formed my own fuel sumps using foam.  They were bonded to the strake and then micro was filled up on the bottom of the strakes.

The project was then brought back into the garage.  Micro was built up on the top of the fuselage.  Then sanding was started.  I found that a depression still could be found where the top of the fuel tank did not hold the concave shape.  A layer of very light foam was added, shaped and one layer of glass placed over.  Micro was then reapplied.  The strakes started to take on the proper shape.
